The training for and standard of care of traditional chiropractic is intense and focuses on neurological conditions of the spine, spinal cord, and spinal and nerve roots.
The standard of care for a Fellowship trained and Certification(C.C.S.P) and diplomate in sports requires a physician to have advanced training in orthopedics of the spine and extremities, diagnosis of brain and spinal cord conditions related to sports participation and injuries, and advanced training in the diagnosis of and management of concussion, along with sports psychology, sports nutrition, and emergency procedures such as pre-hospital care. Dr. Todd must also maintain a SafeSport Training Certification as a sports physician.
We apply a proven method developed over a 50-year period that has produced numerous national and world champions and helped executives reach their goals at the highest level. This method combines an orthopedic exam of the upper or lower body(initial visit), neurological balance concerning central brain weakness, and neurological-based nutrition. Follow-up visits include a functional neurological exam of the upper and lower body and a functional cranial nerve exam for global body integration.
We look for weakness in the brain, feet, arms, and legs that rob energy from the body and significantly inhibit our body's ability to adapt to stress and sleep well appropriately.
Think of thriving and not just surviving the daily grind.
With 25 years of experience, our sports physician will assess you and create a custom, short-term, achievable recovery plan. We understand the importance of educating you on the most effective ways to care for your body so that you can heal quickly.
We are also part of a close network of trusted non-surgical and surgical physicians who can co-manage your care and often refer you to join your team when needed.
Other than an approach or opinion, the most successful outcomes are based on fact. If you search for the true weakness in the neurological and coordinated musculoskeletal system, you have a clear path to reaching your goals.
Simple for the patient and complex for the physician.
Trust in a sports physician stems from the doctor going the extra mile and obtaining advanced certification in Sports. Merely participating in youth sports or volunteering with local teams does not provide the experience needed.
